Social Media for marketing, communications and fundraising (Part 2).

Everybody is using Facebook and Twitter and we can’t  see a good reason why charities shouldn’t try and market themselves through social media for more effective fundraising.” Nordoff Robbins

There hasn’t been a better time than now for charities to embrace social media and engage into more effective fundraising via social media.  With Twitter recently releasing a Web Analytics Tool (Source: Mashable) and Facebook improving its “Causes” pages since redeveloping last week (Source: Causes).  Clearly there is a great deal of interest in social media and we’re all spending more and more of our time online (Source: Marketing Pilgrim).

Facebook and Twitter are great tools for communicating with our audience.” War Child

AdvantageNFP has provided CRM, fundraising, membership, alumni and ticketed event management database solutions to hundreds of NFP organisations worldwide.  Our mission is to help our customers manage their world efficiently and to help them raise more funds.

A significant part of our growing customer base has developed an interest in social media and their integration into the organisation’s communication, marketing and fundraising activities. This is something that we care passionately about, having introduced social media functionality into our AdvantageNFP Fundraiser product in 2009.

We regularly display photos from our events, news from the office and of course promote fundraising events and opportunities” Langdon Foundation

This week we have three more case studies from War Child, Nordoff Robbins and Langdon, AdvantageNFP Fundraiser customers since 2004. You can view and download these case studies from our Blog page, on the right bottom corner.

The growing trend amongst our customers towards utilising their CRM solution and developing a strong social media presence continues.  So we are continually developing AdvantageNFP Fundraiser by integrating more social media features.  The great news for our existing customers is that these twice yearly updates are completely free of charge for all AdvantageNFP customers.
