reducing office space as working from home continues...

Since March 2020, when the first lockdown started, many of us have had to adjust to working from home. Once the Covid restrictions are lifted, a number of bosses are likely to look at a mixture of office and home working going forward. That agile way of working looks set to become the new 'norm'.

Since March 2020, when the first lockdown started, many of us have had to adjust to working from home. Once the Covid restrictions are lifted, a number of bosses are likely to look at a mixture of office and home working going forward. That agile way of working looks set to become the new 'norm'.

Like more than one third of UK mid-sized companies expected to reduce their office space after Covid-19, AdvantageNFP are already reducing the size of the offce in recognition of changes to support more home working.  We have already switched our phone system to be entirely based on Microsoft Teams, where we already host all of our meetings. So we feel that we no longer require a dedicated meeting room.

Reducing office space should reduce costs in asset overheads, so can those savings be used for a better communication infrastructure for staff? Is working from home becoming the norm in your organisation? Are you looking at restructuring your office space to suit a new working model?
